A native Iowan, Dr. Hayward spent most of his early life in Maquoketa, Iowa. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Iowa. Jacob then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree at the University of Missouri-St.Louis. He completed rotations at Cochran VA Medical Center as well as multiple sites throughout the St. Louis metro area.
While in St. Louis for optometry school, Dr. Hayward met and married his best friend, Caitlin. Their family has expanded to include three energetic kiddos: Miles, Merrick, and Gemma.
With a passion for increasing patient access to eye care, Dr. Jacob Hayward supports the Iowa Optometric Association (IOA) as well as the American Optometric Association (AOA). Their family currently resides in DeWitt, IA and has a heart for a variety of local and national organizations that serve families through education, resources, and justice.

Their lab allows them to complete frames quickly with in-house edging and continued care over the lifetime of your frame.

EXAM TECHNICIANS
Your skilled exam technician will complete exam pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and obtain your medical history. They assist with contact lens fittings and patient education ensuring a thorough and confident patient experience.
